TANTIE TALK:
De bwoy, like he coming good now. I eh know eef is de 'mo-del' wot
doing it for him, but eef so, ah hope she continue. Dat was a nice
231 and he choose de right bowler to buss 6 fours on, 'cause he's
de one dey now bring into de tes' side, so it go be fun-an'-games
come Friday.

Yes, well ah know allyuh waiting to hear 'bout de nex set ah
fun-an'-games dey had yesterday. Is wot ah go tell yuh, like de
bacchanal now start. De Yankee and dem tekking 6 weeks fuh dey
decision, dese ones here looking like dey want to try for dat record.
Is why we so follow fashion? Tantie cyar understan'.

De Trini does be a strange animal when elections come 'round. People
liming, watching results and big set ah cheering going orn when dey
did tink 'Mr. Patrick' and de 'Paver Man' was lorsing dey seat. Yuh
shudda hear de cheups when dey realise dey did win. All dis nonsense
'bout party doh stan' ah chance, when it have real fete and party
involve. Trini like dey lime and 'all ah we is one family', but eef
dey eh like yuh head, oh gawd. I sure even Bas wouldn't ah mind
losing de election once 'Mr. Patrick' did lorse he seat.

An' de nex one, Mr. Gypsy, who might STILL lorse he seat now saying
dat not only he eh vote yesterday, but he did never register to vote
in Trinidad in he life! Is what nex we go hear? Ah feel we boun'
to have a new President soon too, 'caus is like Robbie vex wid all
ah dem and he eh even bodder to vote.

Ah well, yuh know wid trini, everyting is a '10 days' wonder... only
9 more to go an' we could get back into we Christmas. It ha' more
important ting to study, like we sorrel and ginger beer and de new
curtain and de house still to paint and de turkey and ham to get and
... the Carnival coming!
