WHAT'S ON IN T&T

Save the Mangrove: 
Calling on all concerned citizens to pull to the side of the foreshore
and sign petitions to save the mangrove, accept flyers and call the 
PM's office to complain. Donna Yawching's article in the Sunday 7th
July Express said simply and clearly why we need to save this area
from destruction.
If we don't start insisting on better, we won't get it.

First Aid/CPR classes:
Starting July 24th. till end August, the T&T Red Cross Society will
be conducting daytime classes for students.

(Tantie want to learn how to do dis mouth-to-mouth ting)

Families in Action Parenting course:
On July 25th at 82 Maraval Road. Short Confident Parenting Course. 
Topics include:
- the role of the parent
- stress and anger management
- alternative to punishment

(Tantie know plenty plenty parents who should go to dis course)

TANTIE TALK: A nex one gorne.... we losing so many people in de Arts
dis year. We have to try to preserve dey works and not only preserve
the works but give the artistes the recognition and respect due to dem
BEFORE they leave us. 
And as we on de topic of respect, I hope de boys go get some respect
now dat dey beat Canada for de fus time. So yuh better give dem the
respect on Sunday when dey take on Mexico. Tantie go be dere wid she
pink parasol and ah watching fuh yuh. Ah jes hope Stern John foot eh
hurt too bad - de boy look like he need to bade orf wid a saltfish 
tail in de sea.
