WHAT'S ON IN T&T

Dites-moi tout:
The French Embassy wishes to inform the public that Level 2 of the
programme "Dites-moi Tout" has begun. Tune in to Radio 610 AM on
Wednesdays between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Scripts
available at the Library, Cultural Service of the French Embassy on
Thursdays 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

"Women's Health & the Double Burden":
October 3rd - T&T Medical Association lecture in honour of
Dr. Elizabeth Quamina at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from 7:30 p.m.
presented by Professor Sir George Alleyne, Director of PAHO. 
Those wishing to attend can contact the Association's office at
623-7246 or 627-8526 to confirm tickets.

W.A.N.D. Fundraiser:
Saturday 7th - W.A.N.D. (Women in Action for the Needy and Destitute)
is staging "A Western Evening" in aid of the Vision of Hope from
8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the Trinidad and Tobago Yacht Club.
All proceeds towards building a development center in La Brea for
women and children who have sought refuge at the Vision of Hope.
Entertainment by Denise Plummer, Emmet Hennessey & Gerard Kenny
and DJ George Gonzales. Tickets- $175.00 per person all inclusive...

Well, allyuh know dat Tantie re-Joyce-cing now like a true true Trini.
Instead ah mindin' she business and looking out for eef "Joyce" did
really come to pass, Tantie was busy watching de Olympics Closing
Ceremony wid two-three liqours in she head. DAT WAS SUMTIN' ELSE!!!

Ah feel we should import dem people to fix up we mas, like how dem
New Zealand people did come fix up we Post Orfice, oui!!
What ah Ting!! ....anyhow, on to the nex set ah baccanal.

We having all ah dem set ah pan players from roun' de world landin'
here to start playing from Monday. Ah hope dem local fellas
practising and dem foreign folk doh land up showing we how to play
pan in trute....
