On Saturday 4th November, 2000, from 7:00 p.m. at the Cascadia Hotel,
St.Ann's, the YMCA will host a "Latin Fiesta". A truly entertaining
evening, Latin style - a Latin welcome, a variety of Latin dishes
buffet style. An exhibition of Latin dancing and music for dancing,
including a live Latin band. Contribution: $200 per ticket in aid
of YMCA's Street Youth Outreach Programme. Call 625-YMCA.

Thursday 12th - The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (TTCS)
will be having a pizza lime from 6 to 8 pm at Pizza Hut, Roxy
Roundabout. Come join us as we eat and chat about:

Linux Users Group Meeting:
October 15th - Trinidad and Tobago Linux Users Group meeting from
3 p.m. at 89 Pembroke Street. Presentation by Mr. Cleavon Louis
on the AIML agent, that he and the AIML bug testers have been
working on. Thereafter we will (once again) attempt to do an NFS
Linux install. I think we figured out why it didn't work the last
time.

Allyuh ready fuh de World Steelband Festival 2000? Tantie was
going to go to de Gala Opening last night at Cascadia, but ah
couldn't ah mek de climb up de hill. Not to worry, Tantie seat
done book fuh de preliminaries on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
down at Jean Pierre.
And wha 'bout de football? Is best de broadcast did never reach,
coz by de time it did reach, dey did done drop 4 goal on we.
Tantie embarrass to say de final score (7/nil). Bad enough is
ketch arse to win in Mexico City, but dem boys didn't even TRY to
win. Dey feel is because dem done qualify fuh de nex rounds, dey
eh have to worry? Everybody go be gunnin' fuh we tail, and eef they
keep dis nonsense up, we cut-arse book. Tantie cyar tek a nex '89
