WHAT'S ON IN T&T

Practical Philosophy:
September 26th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A 10 week introductory
course in Practical Philosophy at the Teachers' Credit Union,
75 Independence Ave. San Fernando.
September 27th at Presentation College, Chaguanas

TTLUG Meeting:
The next TTLUG meeting is scheduled for October 1st at 3 p.m.
at 89 Pembroke Street (fourth house on the left after the Gordon
Street corner) - a presentation by Mr. Cleavon Little on the AIML
agent, that he, Alain and the AIML bug testers have been working
on. Next meeting - Sunday 15 th October, at 3 p.m.

Sign Language Classes:
Ongoing at the School for the Deaf, Cascade and branches in 
Tunapuna and Arima. Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For details,

Glaucoma Association Meeting:
Quarterly meeting on Thursday 28th at Lion's Civic Centre from
3:00 p.m.

Annual Police Calypso Competition 2000:
September 29th - Semi finals at SWWTU Hall from 7:00 p.m.

TANTIE TALK:
So how allyuh like dat Men's 100 metres? Yuh see how T&T and B'dos
starring for silver and bronze? But de stars of the Olympics so far
for Tantie is Eric de Eel and Paula de Porpoise - dem swimmers from
Equatorial Guinea. Dey really show we what de Olympic spirit is all
about - going out dere and trying yuh best, knowing dat yuh stand
a better chance ah drowning dan qualifying.

Caribbean Glory - de CBC did name dey programme well. We boys and
gyuls doing well in de Athletics - Jamaica, Cuba, Barbados, T&T,
Bahamas, St. Kitts and Belize (Marion muddah from Belize, yuh know).
It had 5 Caribbean women in the 100 meters final and 3 in the Men's
... and dat cute lil Cuban boy buss dem up in de 110 metre hurdles.
De boy flow like water dong de track!!! WASA jealous he, oui! 

... and is Wednesday Ato go be going for HE puss-onal gold medal.
Dese days tantie eh getting too much sleep, but Ah does have to stay
up to see meh people shine.

A nex odder note - De Computer Misuse Bill reach Parlay-ment. Go
to de Government Printery and get yuh copy, read it up and
understand it. Den write yuh member of Parlay-ment. Dis one go 
affec' all ah we computer jumbie.
