TANTIE TALK:
Before ah forget, ah likkle birdie did tell Tantie 'bout some pan
events dis weekend, but as ah didn't get no odder confirmation, ah
couldn't put it in the 'WHAT'S ON' section. So tentative for now,
it supposes to have Phase II and pan-round-de-neck on Friday nite by
Victoria Square. Den on Sunday 29th it supposes to have ah Steel
Unity Concert in Phase II pan yard with Despers, Exodus, Skiffle
Bunch, Playboyz and Phase II. Remember, dis only tentative. When
ah get confirmation, ah go send out ah update.

..and now fuh de talk. It real interesting how de more tings change,
de more dey remain de same. Yuh know how long time, before everybody
did have cell phone and internet and ting, Trini did know what was
happening no matter where it happen. As dey say, de niggergram, like
it used to work faster than de speed ah light and everybody macometer
was always on high. So now, when we come to 'reality TV' and 24 hour
ah day live webcam, dat is news fuh de rest ah de world, but is
really only a more up-to-date high tech Trini ting. Yuh know we did
spread far and wide in de world and any time someting make de news,
yuh know it have a Trini right dere. We always connected, we always
know what going on, we constantly in touch. Tantie did come across
ah good article 'bout de whole connectivity ting and how wireless go
have all ah we intertwined and hook-up.. nice, nice reading.

"Inescapably Connected: Life in the Wireless Age" by JAMES GLEICK.
Yuh go find it at:
http://www.nytimes.com/2001/04/22/magazine/22CONNECTIVITY.html

Yuh go have to register, but it FREE and yuh know how we like free
ting. De man talk some talk dere dat make Tantie feel is me who was
talking. Wid what happening in T&T wid cell licences and wireless
networking, it have plenty, plenty relevance ... but ah eh too sure
dat we really and truly ready for it. It have all kinda ramification
'bout privacy and security dat I sure dem eh even start to tink
'bout wid de Telecom and Computer Bills. It go be fun...
