TANTIE TALK:
Allyuh remember George Benson had a song "I believe that children are
our future".. allyuh know what ah mean? Well, de man was so right,
it eh funny. We know fuh sure we politicians eh we future and jes
dis weekend Tantie did have a chance to see how chirren does really
make we adults look small. Tantie was bussin' a lime down by
Renegades, teking in de music and de food (dey had some nice 'gouti
and cassava, not to mention de oil down).. and really and truly de
best entertainment was from de chirren in de place.
And it wasn't jes entertainment, it was 'enlightment'.. a whole
education fuh everybody who did care to tek notice. De chirren dere
was all colour, nationality and from all kinda different background
- bouncing up each odder fuh de fus time - but by de time ting done,
yuh woulda swear dem was long-time pardner. Dey was romping and
playing and dancing, having fun and couldn't care less who was which
colour from where.
Eef a set ah 3 to 5 year ole could jes accept each odder and get
along wid life, is what really wrong wid we adults who suppose to
know better and be 'teaching' de chirren how to do tings?
