SUNDAY  Monster Motorcade from Savannah:
  Sunday 29th - The Trinidad & Tobago Off Road Club (TTORC) will lead
  a motorcade starting at the savannah to escort one of the "Monster
  Trucks" participating in the "Monster Truck Show" at Wallerfield that
  day. All 4x4 owners in Trinidad are asked to join the motorcade
  which departs the Savannah at 9.30am bound for Wallerfield.

MONDAY  Linda E. Edwards Book Signing: 
  Monday 30th - Linda E. Edwards' new novel "Coin of Gold" will be
  launched at the National Museum on Frederick Street , Port of Spain,
  beginning at 5.30 p.m. Set in Trinidad, the story is of an old Spanish
  gold coin found in the aftermath of a great storm. Attempts to steal
  the coin leads to tragedy. Police corruption forms the backdrop of
  the novel, in which good attempts to triumph over evil.

  Linda Edwards-Romain is a graduate of UWI, St. Augustine, and formerly
  taught at various schools in Trinidad before migrating to the USA.

Shore Thing Craft Shop, Old Milford Road, Lambeau, Tobago children's summer camp for AGES 6-13 years. The camp will focus on ART AND CRAFT including tie die, use of driftwood, shells and natural materials in sync with Tobago's resources. Children will have fun learning their skills and delight in creating wonderful crafts for themselves.

YMCA July-August Programmes based at Wrightson Road, opposite Powergen.
9th-13th July - Camp Counselling, for young people aged 16-20 years.
Sessions include understanding children, first aid, water safety,
communication and leadership skills and many others. Also an 
International Camp Counsellor Programme, where counsellors have the chance to work in a US camp.

Beginning 9th July, Camp Iere day camp for children aged 3-13 years.
Basketball, football, baseball, cricket and the activities including
swimming, gymnastics, capoieira (Brazilian martial art), storytelling, art and craft, field trips and many more fun activities. 

For the teenagers, there is an adventure camp with hikes to places
of interest. Teenagers will also have the opportunity to learn
Cookery, Party Snacks, Crochet, Floral Arrangement, Soft Furnishings, Computers, Cake Making and Cake Decorating. 

During the vacation period, the Y offers courses to suit everyone's schedule. The YMCA is looking for drummers, dancers, singers, persons with experience in drama to participate in its Character Caravan, a unique programme which uses Trini culture in the promotion of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Forms are available at the YMCA and recruitment begins on July 9.
