Tuesday 8th - An exhibition of sculptures and wood cuts by Andrew
"Morgan" Baptiste until May 25th. Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm.

TTCS Pizza Lime:
Wednesday 9th - The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (TTCS) will
be having a pizza lime from 6:00 pm at Pizza Hut, Roxy Roundabout.
Come join us as we eat and talk about:
* The passing of the Telecommunications Bill 2001 and the
implications for Trinidad and Tobago.
* The upcoming launch of the "Proximity" wireless service from
Open Telecom
* Government has said it wants to be an "e-goverment". Could
such a system be successfully implemented here?
* Can local websites (or sites with local content) be
profitable, considering the "dot-com" downturn in the USA

"Eat Your Way To Better Health" Workshop:
Saturday 12th - A Different View Bookshop will host the workshop at
2pm by Philip Franco, clinical nutritionist/medical herbalist.

UWI Festival Week:
Wednesday 9th - Internationally acclaimed film director, Horace Ové
will give a public lecture from 5-7 p.m. Ové has produced many films
including "Pressure" and "Playing Away".
Thursday 10th - A roundtable discussion "Towards a new synergy:
the arts and engineering" from 5-7 p.m. This event will highlight
new relationships and linkages that are taking place between art,
design and engineering. The panel will include artists, designers
and engineers from within the university community and the
manufacturing sector.
Friday 11th - A festival of short motion pictures "Coming into Frame"
from 7pm showing the motion pictures of five graduating students.
All events take place at the new Centre for Festival and Creative
Arts, Gordon St. St. Augustine (next to the Hugh Wooding Law School).

TANTIE TALK:
Allyuh notice dat Tantie eh put in any Mother's Day events in de
"What's On" section. Ah feel dat eef yuh eh plan something special
fuh yuh muddahs by now, den crapaud go well smoke yuh pipe come
Sunday. In any case, allyuh should know by now that Trini muddahs
eh really too fix on de going out ting... dey much rather de
chirrens do something special for them, like cook de Mother's Day
lunch or de pot ah pelau dat going wid de family to de beach fuh
de day.
Better yet... yuh remember all de things yuh muddah did ask yuh to
do long time ago? Like fix de hole in the celotex or paint de press
in she room fuh her. Yuh eh tink dat for Mother's Day, yuh could
surprise her and get around to doing jes those things? Imagine
the happiness on her face dat yuh remembered something she wanted
yuh to do! It doh tek much to make ah mother happy ... and yuh go
