TANTIE TALK:
Is where to start? So much happen in de last 2 weeks that I ent know what to deal with first! De politricks now in full swing, and even after all de Gun Talk since de election, is like nobody still dunno what going on or what dey doing...but then again dat be a chronic condition of we politicos. De nex setta bacchanal jes up de road in de courthouse playing de waiting game too, so is endless holdin' strain going on.

So, wid all dat is where we reach? We already known as the people who did lend out endless oil dollars wid no hope of getting payback, who cyant get coup nor elections right, who could only get a good bargain on airport if is for a nex country...not to mention de only place in de world dat Trinidad Lake Asphalt doh get used for making road. Is what kinda legacy we looking to leave for we young ones? Is no wonder some of dem youths feel it ent have no tomorrow and doh care if dey kill or get killed.

When yuh look at de ceremony and tradition dat take place over de last few days for de Queen Mother's funeral, yuh begin to realise jes how far we have to go before we even begin to start to catch up to how things should be. Yuh doh have to like de Monarchy, but yuh have to respect de traditions dey manage to maintain over de years, especially in de last century when so much change did take place in de world. Dat little old lady almost singlehandedly was responsible for its survival...when during WWII she refuse to leave London during de bombing and den used to go walking about checking on de survivors, she one did do more for England than plenty tank, plane or politician. She put a human not to mention humane face on de Monarchy for de first time, and continued doing so, to the end despite de pressures of modern lifestyles as reflected in her descendants' very public run-ins with life outside the cloisters of
Royalty.

But then yuh have a look at T&T...OK, we ent have no hundreds of years of history as an independent nation, but yuh would feel dat wid the hundreds of years of history dat we do have we coulda or woulda want to learn from de nonsensical, ignorant and prejudicial actions dat was perpetrated on our ancestors in de name of God and said Monarchy, but which was really just about greed. All we seem to have learnt is de bit about greed...and after everybody done eat dey belly full, and of course waste most of it because
dey grabbing, what is left?

You could imagine T&T in de nex hundred years?
