Perception...nice word, yuh ever stop and think jes exactly how people perceive you, or even how YOU really perceive yuhself? Do we ever have
a view of self that even remotely near reality or we jes always fooling weself? And, what worse is how individual perceptions does get a whole
new life when they meet vaguely similar ones an 'become fact', nevermind just how blatant their hypocracies and lies are...ent everybody KNOW is
all ole tief and criminal come from "Behind de Bridge"/Laventille? And ent everybody KNOW dat all dem people in Caroni does only drink rum,
except when dey drinking Gramaxone?
Strange thing is dese ideas that didn't come from us, now stick in we head. We doh believe we capable of doing anything good in this land,
whatever we produce ent good unless we export it and buy it back at ten times de price. We own The Pitch Lake, and everywhere in de world except
T&T have WE asphalt on de roads...and what we using, me ent know, but I doh think anybody else in de world ever use it more than once! We have
old buildings falling to pieces and we ent care...worse yet, we putting up monstrosoties that cost more to maintain than build, but it doh look
like we have nobody maintining dem, is when last yuh take a good look at de Hall of Justice? Is when last it get clean? But we have brand spanking
new Cabildo Chambers and de Library go be finish soon, is how dey go get maintained? Where de money
coming from? You ever hear about allocation for upkeep of public buildings in de budget? If it there dey hide it
real good...but again we doh care, is de Goverment to see bout dat! But we keep forgetting who de Government working for, who is dey boss and who
it is who paying dey salary. We ent have no pride in weselves and we jes allow anybody to do what dey damn well please. Once we could Pahr-tay in
we Tommy clothes and Nike shoes any number could play and is only when de well done dry we does suddenly feel for water and have to buy it...we doh
cherish we independence.
Sometimes I feel we doh WANT to be independent, and we would much prefer to have Massa seeing bout us, never mind de blows we go get jes once we
could get a lil something...but I tell you what, dat ent for me and I ent giving up nothing to nobody for no good reason. I know it have plenty
more free thinkers in T&T, but I plenty suprised to see is like all man jack on holiday, at least dat is de only way I could see how when one
of WE roads in POS apparently get US citizenship and hardly anybody making noise...joke is joke, and allyuh had a good laugh at we de asses
who let yuh joke go on for almost a whole year now, but enough is enough.

is we easygoing, possibly bordering on stupid...
but de reality is, we doh always eat nice.
