TANTIE TALK:
So, Operation Anaconda in force putting de squeeze on crime...we hope.  Yuh know how it does be in dis place, everyting is a 9 days wonder, start off hot and sweaty and by de 12th day yuh ask people about it and dem ent know what it is yuh talking bout!

So far dey seem to be doing things, but den again is only a setta smalltime petty criminals dey catching up with because dem dotish in de first place. De other side of Anaconda is how much inconvenience it will cause and how much ordinary citizens will put up with. All well and good having roadblocks, and tantie know yuh cyant put no ads in de papers and on de TV to say when and where yuh having dem, but oh gorm, dey could choose better places and times! I feel is de selfsame people who does schedule when WASA/TTEC/TSTT et al digging up de roads, dey does spend long hours I sure working out in minute detail to the last second, when and where de event go cause de most inconvenience. Dey only seem to schedule dem things on the busiest roads at the height of rush hour, or better yet dey make sure dat a macco big funeral go be taking place at de nearest church and make sure dey digging jus before and after de service, so nobody could enter/leave de churchyard and de rest of traffic go back up for al least a half mile.

Is when we go come to we senses and realise dat not only is OK fuh people to work in 24hr rotations, but some things just better done at night when dey have less traffic (both vehicular and pedestrian) about! Is not every construction site dat could work round de clock, but dey could at least try to do so when it make sense...all dem stores downtown in both POS and Sando doh HAVE to have deliveries at 9:00am, what wrong with deliveries at 4:00 or 5:00am? De people who come out for dat time going home earlier and dat mean less people travelling during rush hour. Lewwe start doing things dat make sense for us...is why we cyant start work hours at 6:00 or 7:00 and finish by 2:00-3:00 when it hot as hell? Even if we doh all start early, we could take a longer break in de middle of de day and work later - de South American siesta does make plenty sense when yuh living in a hot, humid climate yuh know!

Ah well, one of dese days we go get it...I mean we cyant continue like how we going for much longer, we cyant get we elections or we carnival right and yet we want to talk about being financial/travel/trade centre of de Caribbean, if we keep on like we been keeping on, it looking like de best thing to do is declare war on de US, let dem crank in we so-and-so and den blame dem for all we problems in de future.
