TANTIE TALK:
well de bacchanal well and truly start...and de carnival coming along nicely too! Is what does do people when dey get de idea in dey head dat "I wants to be a politician"? Is like ALL de learning dey ever had does jes ups and gone out dey head voosh, voosh. Like nuttin' at all does remain, not even what dey
mother, and nen-nen and tantie did instill when dey was raising dem up.
I mean is how else yuh could explain what going on in poor T&T dese days? We now lock down solid as Laughing Stock of the World, wid no challengers in sight Bush, Gore et al was rank amateur and mus be looking on in awe at the free lessons in how to make a proper ass of yuhself in politics. About de only saving grace is dat so far is only Patos and Bas dat really carrying on at dis stage, de rest of dem either patiently biding dey time till Parliment start and dey have a 'Big Stage' to play deyself on or dey really and truly doh have nuttin' to say and waiting on dey Master's OK to say it.
The only logical explanation I could come up with is dat dey decide to help out de calypsonians in a big way...I mean to say is whe else dey go be providing so much material? Fus to begin dey start of disagreeing to agree, den it was de Wife Minister routine and de Minister of Ministers, Pundits and Imams, but now boyo done gone and cap it all wid de Minister
Who-don't-know-his-foot-from-a-target of National Security! If Patos an dem collect a lil percentage of de royalties on dem kaiso, it go be good because then de party ent have to rely on big boy no 'financiers' who giving money wid not string but macco big steel cable attached!
But enough of dem, dis year Carnival season jes too short to waste on political worries. Tantie hope allyuh was keeping fit all de time and not only now worrying eef yuh could fit into de costume...even before dat, yuh has to be sure yuh could even make it to carnival Mon. & Tue. wid back-to-back fetes every weekend and in de week too yuh could burn out long before eef yuh doesn't pace yuhself. Speaking of which, de oleTants did take in de QRC fete on de weekend, and it was real nice wid de pansides, it did bring back some nice memories, and Blue ventures was sounding good...but I only hope dat Roots pacing demselves so dey go be able to give we niceness on de road come carnival, because OH GORM... dey didn' sound nice at all!
Boys, take Tantie advice and have a good rest and purge before allyuh play dis weekend, because yuh really sounding full of it.
