TANTIE TALK:
De pan was sweet too bad...and eef allyuh didn' take de chance and go out to de Panyard Prelims, yuh did really miss out. Pantrinbago did really come good this time, it real nice knowing when yuh go to a panyard yuh will actually hear de whole tune without having to wait for what seem like 2 hours only hearing de thing piece, piece. Now even though de idea was nice, the execution did leave a lot to be desired...I know it was de first time an' all, but dey shoulda know how Trini does operate.

Yuh know everybody want to be in de panyard, right nex to de judge an dem, and dey all want to reach in de yard de exact same time as de judges too! I feel is a simple thing, everybody KNOW dey cyant all fit in de place, so dey just have to enforce a first-come-get-in policy. Most panyards could hold 3-400 prople comfortably and 500 wid a squeeze, so de thing to do is to have tickets for dat number of people alone. I done hearing allyuh bawling "November 1989", but we HAVE to start doing things de right way at some time. Pantrinbago ent realise dat dey have a winner on dey hands, this thing could go far. Imagine once a month a 'concert tour' of de panyards...yuh paying $40 for a 'season ticket' dat will get you in to say 5 panyards dat on de schedule. And dey should have tours in ALL de zones at the same time, so if yuh from POS yuh could head out East or South and take in a nice lime wid pansides you wouldn't get to hear outside Panorama.

What make de thing nice all round is dat de pansides now have a 'captive audience' to sell food, drink and merchandising to all year and not just at Carnival. I feel it could real score, and if Pantrinbago setup de right contacts and do live recordings, everybody go have a nex setta income which go make dem less dependant on de Gov't. Tantie know all de Trinidiary family go pitch in and help make this thing a success, allyuh could start off by emailing dem at mailto: admin@pantrinbago.co.tt and letting dem know allyuh out dere and willing to help...and believe me dey need help if dey website http://www.pantrinbago.co.tt is any indication of how dey does operate - it somewhat confusing! So any website designers do dem a favour and help wid a lil makeover nuh?

And doh forget to tell dem is Tantie what send yuh! :-)
