TANTIE TALK:
So we manage to save a lil face in de cricket, but still endup throwing way de One Day series...ah well, at least it looking like we have a TEAM
again instead of a pickup side who was never too sure what dey was really supposed to be doing. I only hope dey get things together properly and
give de brand, spanking new National Cricket Stadium in Grenada an inauguration to remember and not one to forget!
Well chile, de next few weeks have to be the 'sportingest' ever as de Yanks and dem would say...Tantie eye falling out mih head with having to
be up from 2:00am every day to watch World Cup...yuh know me ent watching no replay later in de day, I have to see it live and direct. I ent able
to have nobody come and tell me "but ay ay is like yuh boys get licks..." dat is arksing fuh trouble self. It hard to stay awake sometimes, but it
well worth de effort when yuh see some class football from de so-called 'small fry' giving de favourites a good run for dey money, and in some
cases like Senegal and France, teaching dem a lesson! I want to see all who brave enough to put down money on not even who winning, but who go be
in de semifinals. And if World Cup ent enough it not only have more cricket in de next few weeks, but French Open tennis going on now and de
US Open coming up soon with Wimbledon and de Tour de France AND then de Commonwealth Games in August...I ent know how I go survive dis setta TV
yes, mih eyes go endup square and I might have to use a TV remote to mek dem work! Anyways, all de entertainment is a good diversion from de day
to day crap it have going on...and we need some good diverting, because if we take on what we seeing in de papers and on de TV news every night,
we bound to go mad trying to take it all in. Trini does survive mainly because we could always laugh at weself...and of course we all know dat
God is a Trini, because if She wasn't and couldn't enjoy a good laugh at all de nonsense dat mankind does do, all Hell woulda break loose long
time ago and Earth version 2.0 would now be in operation.
