Well chile, de World Cup going sweet too bad...nobody know what it is happen to France, but it looking like what they did get to rub, they eat!
Some of de best football coming from de lil peewat sides who was jes there to make up numbers, or so de experts did feel. Nobody did tell Senegal
they wasn't supposed to shame de Champions, or they wasn't making it past de first round games. Dem boys playing nice, nice, nice...who taking bet
on dem?
I glad it have so much thing going on so I could switch off from all de nonsense what happening in T&T. I really doh know what it is do we at all,
every time yuh look in a papers or turn on de TV/radio is a nex setta crime dey talking 'bout. And worse yet, is de Police look like dey cyant do
anything much about it because plenty of dem involve in de said crimes dey trying to solve! Plenty variety though...domestic violence, kidnapping,
drugs related murders, all kinda other murders, a few suicides, and what look to be de fastes growing category 'white collar crime'. Is all kinda
people name yuh seeing call in de papers in connection with fraud dese days. Some get ketch wid de change in company laws and ent really involve
in de thing, but if is your name sign on de paper, den is you to ketch!
Sometimes I does jes want to go back to a simpler time when all yuh had to worry about when yuh walking down de road after dark was a Lagahoo or a
Ladiablesse...dese days yuh likely to get yuh neck lock or get shoot in a 'drive by', and that is jes standing by yuh front gate! People does be
like fowl dese days, when darkness come dey gone to roost. I could only hope a lil benefit go come out of de situation and we might start seeing
more family life and home-based activities taking place. Is when last yuh had a session of Canasta or Pedro or Scrabble wid yuh family or friends?
Trinis love to go out and party, but what we forgetting is long time the liming and partying used to be by family and friends...nowadays from de
time yuh say lime, dey asking which bar yuh liming.
Is time we head back to family and family oriented activities. Even when we get outta de house we have to remember de family...I not saying yuh
cyant have a lil lime wid yuh pards an dem on occasion, but dat must be de exception, not de rule. So, dis weekend, let we make an effort to be
family aware...and I choose dis weekend BECAUSE is Father's Day, I want de fathers to take stock of what it is going on with demselves and dey
families and while yuh enjoying yuh Day, think about how nice it go be to have it like dat for de other 364 days, every year.
