So. de 40th done pass and a good time was had by all...some better than others according to de papers, it seem dat some of de ladies who did get
all fancy-up to go scream at Usher, did end up screaming at de promoters when dey find dey was ankle deep in mud because dey had was to leff dey
seats to go stan'up where dey could see de stage!
De day did start off nice wid de parade as per usual...yuh know my people, we was RED wid a vengance. All kinda colour, shape and size was squeeze
and force into things dat shoulda only be put on fuh de benefit of dey main squeeze, but did somehow endup on Tragarete Road fuh everybody and
dey Nennen to see. Othe than dat setta displays, de parade was lil bit disjointed...by de time dey reach by Roxy Roundabout dey was string out
like one a dem big band on Carnival Tuesday - all de marchers done gone past de roundabout an all de rest of vehicles so far up de road dat yuh
could barely hear or see dem, but when dey did arrive, yuh couldn' help BUT hear
dem...eh, what a racket. After de parade did finish, it was jes a small walk over to Harvard fuh dey brunch and one of de best limes
yuh could have anywhere in T&T...dem boys like dey did invent de concept of liming, and even if dey didn', fuh sure dey have it dong to a fine art.
Of course all kinda everybody get pass in de talk, what with a nex setta 'queries' about monies dat was solicited or not etc etc...me ent talking
bout dat at all, I waiting to hear what go come out on de platforms when de serious campaigning for de 3rd Annual General Elections take off.
Yuh know dem people in de EBC ent realise dey onto a good thing...fus to begin dey could start 'marketing' demselves as consultants, because it ent
have NOBODY else wid more experience dan dem! Nex thing is to get TIDCO in de act to start pushing Elections Tours, dey bong to make money bringing
back all dem 'dead' people who on de list but really in Brooklyn or Toronto.
And we ent even start to talk about de videos and books dem could sell, not to forget de film rights...dis thing plenty better than what coming outta
Hollywood dese days, AND we even have we own Yankee input direct from The_Street_We_Ent_Sure_Is_We_Own_That_Might_Still_Be_Named_Marli Street.
Dis place nice too bad, or as one of Tantie good pards does say:

me, I would have sell dem from toco
light house, to pt galoeta, to iccos, to pt.rouge in de bocas and just keep
monos, wavos and chacacaree independent. dem yankee will supply, water,
etectricity, phne, real roads, health service and
schools..................just a few luxuries and we kill 2 birds wit one
stone, 3 islands 3 seats, no stale mate in parliment, so even if mottley get a
seat he can be balance of power, but dat may not work either , cause if panday
get wavos, he go want to suceed. Personally i dont care how many new
cars de police and dem get. at any given time 30% go be down for lack of
maintenance 30% go be escorting some fat ass politician to de airport and the
balance are used to drop de policemen and dem women home from de station
