Tantie Talk
So, as de people does say de 'game is afoot'. Strangest game I see in a very
long time though...all 3 both sides say dey winning de game, but when yuh
try to check de scores yuh real confuse because it have one setta own goals
getting score. Yuh really have to wonder who playing on who side in trute.
Speaking of sides, I couldn' believe mih eyes when I did see a story in de
papers about de Archbishop making up he mind as to jes how he go discipline
a priest...I say well at last de Church being upfront and open wid dey goings
on, until I did have a look at de rest of de story an' realise is because a
priest say he ent able wid celibacy an' is time to throw it way, dat some of
de parishioners went an' complain to de Archbishop saying dey find dat he
"uncomfortably close with women". Dem people crazy or what? Dey prefer dat
he get comfortably close wid dey little chirren? At least de man was honest
and say what he feel (an' I feel de real problem is dem people forget dat all
priest is man to begin with), but then again is what more yuh expect from ah
organisation dat most serious punishment is to tell a priest dat he cyant
wear a dress no more. And before yuh feel is mad Tantie gone crazy, stop
and think what it does really mean to 'defrock' a priest?
Anyways, enough is enough wid dem an dey confufflement...we could all use
a lil bit ah good vibes in we lives. Come Thursday tings hotting up wid de
1st Test Match in Guyana. We bwoy back as Captain, and is to hope dat dis
time around he go survive de politrics dat is Windies cricket. Tantie
serious tempted to jump on a plane an' go fuh de lime, but den is de problem
of if it go have a BWEE to bring me back! Now dat is a whole nex setta
commess dat need 2-3 film an' a whole library ah books to tell de tale.
(Tants ent reach in we new library yet is why allyuh ent hear nuttin' bout it
yet, but from all reports is something special, I hope it stay so at leas'
until I reach!) It looking to Tants like Patos an he side playing hardball
wid de BWEE boys who was chummy wid de nex side...an' in a way yuh could
almost see where dem coming from - if de Gov't is only one shareholder dat
have shares in BWEE, is why dem alone have to put up money to bail it out?
Tantie ent really hear bout de rest of shareholders putting up money...
whoever own shares should put up money, I doh own no shares, but I go help
out an' put my money in a ticket, an dey had bes bring my so and so back
to T&T when I ready oui, I getting too old to play I sleeping in airport
hoping a plane go come.

More scary than this trumped up war is the ideology that propelled it.
For those who think that people speaking out against the war and this
administration is unpatriotic I will urge you all to find out about The
BUSH DOCTRINE or go to the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace
and find out more about what is really motivating this war and their
subsequent plans for the world. If you think after Saddam we are safer
then your head is buried in the sands in Maracas! Weren't we supposed
to be drug free after Noriega? One of the scariest things about this
administration and the neo-conservatives is the secrecy and the willingness to shut down all opposing voices. Hello - isn't that what
we say we are "liberating" the Iraqi people to do ? Have the freedom to
speak? Does anyone remember fascism or uhhh communism? Is there a
resemblance beginning to emerge???? Just remember that this wonderful
country was started on dissent. Just another Trini/American thought.

Tantie - yuh know what I going tuh say... If yuh want a easier computah
- get a Mac!
//T&T
When I look at those children's eyes in Iraq, small little bodies at the
hospitals or crouched on the floor, crying for their parents who got
killed, starving, when I look at those people crying, when I think of
the soldiers' families.... I must also think that the world has definitely
gone mad. No one wins at war. No matter what reason, no matter how much
disguise, we are actually killing ourselves. We cannot point to Saddam
and say he is a tyrant when the world has stooped to his same level...
//Trini in Venezuela
This is all tantie had to say in this issue i guess there is just those
very spirits that gang up on us from time to time and like the lady said
"we get hit by all the fools"
