Tantie Talk
Yuh know if is only one good thing about 'spam' (an' I using de term VERY
loosely here to mean anything unexpected dat arrive in yuh mailbox) is yuh
could get a good laugh sometimes. Even de real SPAM could be funny de first
time yuh read it...but not de nex 423 times! If only dey could channel de
creativity an' effort towards non-fraudulent endeavours, de world would be
a plenty better place but c'est la vie.
I did come across a couple or three tings recently dat get mih thinking -
all de crap dat politicos does be spouting doh really come back to haunt dem
often enough. I know dat dey have plenty website dat recording what
Dubya & Co UnLtd does get up to, but really an truly we need to have a local
depository - a 'virtual cesspit' - where all uttering and actions of ALL de
politicos in T&T go be recorded so dat neither dem nor dey supporters, patrons
or friends could say yuh biased when yuh quote dem. De first item was a
listing of Dubya's 'achievements' since assuming office, I did check it out an'
discovered de original which in fact is more than just de achievements since taking
office, so I putting de link
(http://michaelw.net/Articles/GeorgeBushsresumebyKellyK.html) an allyuh could check it out. If allyuh cyant go 'pon de web from de office,
jes lemme know an' I go email yuh de text. De nex item was a 'genuine' spam
dat someone did get and forwarded to a mailing list asking if "Tings Dis Bad?"
an' wondered what Bas would sell, because de email supposedly came from one
"Pat Manning". The items on sale were "**Wholesale Prescription Medications!**
/OUR DOCTORS WILL WRITE YOU A PRESCRIPTION FOR FREE!/ _Get Your Prescription
Meds Online"! Dey have endless website internationally, devoted to keeping
real, relevant issues in de public eye ...but very few if any in T&T an' de
Caribbean as a whole dat ent blatantly biased towards dey benefactors, we need to
have tings always available to ensure we could keep dem politicos on dey toes, so dey
cyant try to change dey tune while dey changing dey skin.
An' while I on de topic, lemme remind allyuh to keep yuh antivirus
sorfwares up to date...a new slant on de virus theme is email dat supposedly come from yuh
System Administrator warning dat yuh email account going to expire soon, wid an
attachment dat does get past most antivirus scanners because it is a .zip file. Yuh
could read more about it at de antivirus sorfware sites, but jes note dat most if not
ALL business email accounts doh need renewing, so if yuh see something so first thing to
do NOT OPEN DE MAIL/ATTACHMENT, an' after dat is to call de Tech Support people let fem
deal wid it. If yuh on yuh computer at home, jes delete de email.

BACKCHAT: Issue 28
Something useful should be done before, all my friends, and family run away
from here, due to horrendous threats.

he only way the kidnappers will be stopped is by the people doing their bit
as citizens. Somebody will always know who the kidnappers are – somebody will always see
something – report it! Do your bit as a citizen and pull together as a real community –
As Tantie says, don’t wait for some one else to do it – YOU do it.
//Trinidad
The views expressed by the last person in your previous Issue really hit
home. They are right, we are as bad as the politicians. They only criticize each other and
we just criticizing them. Let us start to think and send different ideas that we
feel may be solutions. Together we should be able to get it right. Even if your idea is
not perfect it may give someone else an idea that may eventually lead to a perfect
solution. Come on let's get some ideas and share them. The only way out of this is to work
together as a unit....

Thanks for emailing Trinidiary, much appreciated

Now Tantie: You know that me and you does see eye to eye on most things. However, I have
to ask if you really expect, one person at a time to go and stand up
anywhere in front of any Minister's office and make a difference....Remember, they had to burn
down the Red House to get the government to move. It is right there in our history books, but
my grandma tell me that she saw it happen.

Very impresed with this site and newsletters. Wondering, as much as I
agree about the "Marli St" issue isn't the kidnapping one worse? Let's work on that one
first and save our families and our people the worry and heartache that we are all experiencing.
//Trinidad
I find the only thing harder to get than a U.S. Visa is resident status in
these lovely isle's. Anyone know why?
//Canadian in T&T
I hope and pray the this beloved island continue to grow and at the same
time I hope that the crime and kidnapping that's taking hold will ease up
and stop altogether. It's such a beautiful island. And up here when I read
the news on the site I feel so badly to see how it's changing. Let's all
come together in prayer for the betterment of T&T now. Love T&T always
