At Christmas I no more desire a rose
Than wish a snow in May's new-fangled mirth; But like of each thing that in season grows.

Tantie Talk

So, a nex year come an' nearly done gone...is how allyuh feelin' 'bout  it?  Is plenty changes dat take place not only here in T&T but de world  as a whole, but even wid all ah dat, when yuh really think 'bout it, is  same ole, same ole.  De new 'growth industry' in T&T, is crime wid  kidnapping leadin' de way.  Is why nobody cyant get dem fellahs (an'  gyuls) to channel dey energies into other business oppotunities dat at  leas' legal (if not ethical by practice)...if dey want to rob people  blind, do it like everybody else - set up shop, go an' buy a truck/suitcase load of CNN (Cheap 'N Nasty) tings an' resell dem at whatever  number drop in yuh head.  Sometimes dat is how it does appear de  'traditional' business people does be doing tings...yuh does have wonder  if dey actually even LOOK at de items before dey drop a price on it!

But anyhow, joke is joke, but dis is serious business...we country ent  goin' nowhere but downhill faster than any one ah we coulda ever imagine  wid nuttin' vaguely resembling brakes anywhere in sight.  We as  families/communities/nation doh seem to know where to turn what to  do...is almost as if we feel dat because is dis time of de year we could  wait on a saviour jes like 2003 years ago.  But we forgetting one slight  difference wid now an' de ting dat happen back then.  Dem people wasn' jus' sittin' around waitin' fuh a miracle, dey was ketchin' dey royal  an' bearin' up as bes dey could under some serious oppression  (ironically today is dey descendants dat doin' de oppressin'!)...is de  Good Lord dat decide to fixup tings wid de miraculous arrival of His Son  an events dat followed.  De important ting to remember people, is dat we  cyant jes wait an' say dat someting to happen to solve we problems...if  even we waitin' on de Lord to len a hand, yuh have to remember dat is  not only a saying, is a fact "God helps those who help themselves".*

Allyuh take care an' enjoy yuh Christmas...we onto a good ting here in  T&T, but jes like wid most tings if yuh doh do regular maintenance, all  fall dong.  I ent sure if I go do a nex issue fuh de year, so lemme wish  allyuh de best fuh de coming year... keep on keepin' on T&T an' 2004  bong to mus' go be better.

 Tantie

*An' before allyuh take in mih tail bout de saying, yes I know it ent no  biblical quote, but it did jes fit nice!  ;-)   From what I could tell,  it did come down through de ages more or less as 'the gods help those  who help themselves', an' yuh go find similar sayings in all languages/cultures/religions.
