Well at least I now know fuh sure dat allyuh does actually be readin'
de ting...is fus allyuh did bouff mih fuh saying is 43 instead of 45
years dat we independent. I ent know how dat happen, mih brain like
it want to slow down so de old bones could catch up!
So, after all said an' done an' de press finally get to see de
inside of "De Mansion" is where de pictures? I mus be really gettin'
blind an' de memory fadin' fast because I sure I ent see more that
3-4 picture since dey get de grand tour, an' dem was picture of
fountain an' chandelier an' people walkin' outside de place. Mankind
waitin' to see how de real ting compare to de purported picture dat
was floatin' round de internet, but so far nuttin' doin'. Even if we
sure de place ent have no fireplace an' chimney, de citizens of T&T
still need to see what it is dey money get spend on. Yes, is plenty
money dat spend on de place dat coulda get spend on any number of
tings dat more urgent, but while I ent say dey was right, I find dat
people losin' sight of dat mark when de talk come up 'bout de place.
Yuh woulda swear is Patos Pussonal an' Private house dat get fixup
an' not de Official Residence of de Prime Minister of T&T.
Speakin' of which, anybody check to see if any buildings in Sando
get a lil fixup recently?
How come we cyant seem to appreciate what little history we have as
a nation? Almost every British Prime Minister dey ever had did make
some alterations to 10 Downing Street, dey does even furnish de
place wid artwork from de museums an' ting. De place have over 270
years of use as a PM's residence an' office so yuh could well
imagine jes how much public money get spend in dat time. Is why we
so small mind dat we cyant look at de big picture? Is which
politician in
T&T ent go well enjoy de trappings of office an' want to add some of
dey own 'ideas' too? All dat in it, because when dem dead an' gone
we go remember dem by said additions. I hear de Mansion have a
chapel in it wid stain glass an' all...nice, but is not only
Christian dat we have in dis country Patos, I hope de place is
religion neutral an' dat no matter what religion PM we have in dis
country, dey ent go have to go through no nex' setta expense to make
de place suitable fuh dem. I hope yuh remember de fuss over de Shiva
Lingam an' jhandi back in 2002, an' if by chance yuh did put any
Christian symbols on de stain glass or de resta de room yuh could
easily take dem wid yuh when yuh leavin'.
Even in Dubyaland de White House does get well change up when it
have a new President in office. Dat place pass through more makeover
than dem Hollywood actress, but again it doh belong to de man who
happen to be de current (P)resident...he jes passin' through an' I
sure it ent have too many of dem dat been through the "132 rooms, 35
bathrooms, and 6 levels in the Residence"... No matter who holdin'
office, de Yanks an' dem does be justifiably proud of dey 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue, is to hope dat we go reach dat stage sometime
soon, but de work real cutout because de place doh seem to have no
name an' it well hideaway in de bush too...anybody know de address?
So, politicos, ladies an' gentlemen...lewwe face facts, we saddle
wid some serious lame ducks dat want to run we country. But dat doh
mean we have to let dem have dey way. Remember dey ask fuh de job
an' say dey could do de ting real good...so no matter who in de
driver seat, lewwe keep remindin' dem dey only dere to drive...is we
de people who decidin' where we want to go, an' dey jes have to make
sure dat we have enough fuel fuh de trip an' dat we all arrive safe
an' sound.
