we living in now? I pick up de Gazette and reading about how dem
poli-trickians trying all kinda ting dat I feel is only happen in
movies and Ludlum books. Is how dem fellas does even sit down and
dream up dese kinda stories? It have only one reason dat dis kinda
ting does happen. It have too much money in dis little Trinidad and
Tobago!
It have plenty money but we spending it like we ent have no brains.
Is new Audi and Benz everywhere, and doh forget all de B14 furrin
used dat
all dem kidnapper boy does use. It have house and office and all
kinda fancy restaurant building and opening everywhere. Yuh ent have
no excuse to keep yuh money in de Penny Bank for ah rainy day.
Everywhere yuh turn it have a nex place ready to tek yuh money.
Is when I see de ad for Unit Trust and de nice looking couple in de
papers dat I start to feel it have some sense prevailing. De ad say
dat how dey still renting, but dey putting dey tax break away in
Unit Trust because dey have a chile who dey want to have de right
tings in life.
But dat tax break dullahs ent go be easy to put away at all.
I ent talking about all dem fete ticket and corstume. Is when de
mark buss and yuh see what de Government did intend to do wid dat
tax break allyuh go see. And like de ole people did say, who doh
hear will feel!
Fuss to begin dem boys at TSTT doing dey best to make we pay more
for de phone. Is years I paying mih little money every month to have
a phone, and now dey want to raise de rental. Before dey cut de
rental and stop handing out all dem dotish TSTT phone dat nobody
does use no more dey looking to raise up de ting. And it ent go stop
dey. When allyuh hear about paying for a trouble call to come out
and fix de line, and paying to call 999, and all dem charges
reaching on de bill, yuh go see how 2020 is not a year, but de
monthly bill!
Is not jes TSTT. Is TTEC next, dem looking for a rate increase and
dem experts telling we dat how it only have 18 people in de country

use more dan 500 units if dey does wear red socks on a Tuesday,
while dey plug into ah 3 phase switch wid 19 amps...well I lorse
already. All I know is dat de chinee man say dat dem lamps he does
keep de char sui under does corst plenty electricity and he go have
to charge more next
time. How come de experts doh know dat is not how small de increase
is. De problem is how much it does affect everyone else.
It have plenty we could do to save we self. Like turn off de damm
light when yuh not in de room! Yuh know how long I telling dat boy
dat, but he
harden in trute. And dem modern experts tell me dat licks is not de
way nowadays.
It even have fancy new fluorescent bulbs. Dey does corst more to
start but dey only using like 7 watts to light up de room, and dat
does mean smaller bills at de end of de month.
But I still trying to understand why we have to pay for lights at
all! Is we gas, in we ground....but I ent no expert
If dat not enough yuh know WASA not far behind looking to jack up de
water rates! Well in dey case Trini does waste water plenty in
trute, but yuh see how much does be leaking all over de road? De
question we have to ask is what dey did do wid de money dey collect
over all dese years?
Well dat is what we seeing, all dat nice tax dullahs going right
back out to pay for higher bills for everything. Now is de time to
start to
save, but doh save de dullahs in de Bank, learn to save de way yuh
does use tings.
Recycle paper, doh buy a bottle of water everyday, fill one at home
and tek if with you. Make yuh own lunch. All ah dat is what go save
yuh.
